Frequently Asked Questions

What are your access hours?

Kickapoo Storage offers 24/7 gated access to your storage unit, allowing you to access your belongings whenever it is convenient for you.

Are the storage units individually lit?

The property has security lights that operate from sunset to sunrise to provide lighting throughout the facility. Individual storage units do not have interior lights. Because you have 24/7 access, we recommend bringing a flashlight if you plan to access your unit at night.

How do I access the property?

You will receive a personal gate access code when you move in. Enter your code at the gate to gain access to the facility. The gate will close after you have entered. You will need to re-enter your gate code to exit the property.

How do I access my storage unit?

Your unit number will be assigned to you at move-in. You will be provided a FREE lock at move in. You will be responsible for setting the 4 digit code and securing your unit.

What sizes of storage units are available?

Kickapoo Storage offers a variety of sizes to accommodate everything from a few boxes and household items to vehicles, business inventory, and larger belongings. Kickapoo Storage offers 5x10, 10x10, 10x20, 24x30 and open parking spaces to meet all of your storage needs.

Can I rent a storage unit online?

Yes. When available, you can select an available unit, complete the rental process, and receive your move-in information all online.

What can I store in my unit?

You may store lawful personal or business property that is permitted under your rental agreement. Items that are hazardous, illegal, flammable, explosive, perishable, or otherwise prohibited may not be stored.

Can I store a vehicle, boat, or RV?

Kickapoo Storage offers parking spaces suitable for certain vehicles, boats, trailers, and RVs. Space and size availability varies, so please contact us to determine which option best fits your needs.

Do I need insurance for my belongings?

Yes. Tenants are responsible for protecting and insuring their own belongings. We offer 3rd Party Tenant Protection options or you may provide a copy of appropriate renters, homeowners, or storage specific insurance coverage for the property you keep in your unit.

How much notice do I need to give before moving out?

Please refer to your rental agreement for the required move-out notice. Before vacating, remove all belongings, clean the unit, and ensure the unit is properly secured.

What happens if I forget to pay my rent?

Rent should be paid on or before the due date listed in your rental agreement. Late payments may result in late fees, denied access, or other actions permitted by the rental agreement and applicable Oklahoma law.

Can I share my gate access code with someone else?

Your access code is intended for your use. For your security and the security of other tenants, do not share your access credentials with unauthorized individuals.

Can I have someone else move items into or out of my unit?

Yes, but you are responsible for anyone you authorize to access your unit. Never give your access information to someone you do not trust.

Are there electrical outlets inside the storage units?

No. Storage units are not designed to function as workshops or occupied spaces and do not provide electrical service for tenant use. Do not run extension cords or make electrical modifications without written authorization.

Can I work or live inside my storage unit?

No. Storage units are intended for storage purposes only and may not be used as living quarters, offices, workshops, or places of business unless specifically authorized in writing.

What should I do if I lose my lock or keys?

Contact Kickapoo Storage for assistance. Tenants are responsible for maintaining access to their own locks and keys. If a facility provided lock or lock related item is lost, applicable replacement fees may apply.

What should I do if I see suspicious activity?
